We Know: How to Buy Waterbed Sheets

About Waterbed Sheets

Although you can use standard mattress sheets with waterbeds, it's usually a frustrating process because a waterbed shifts and moves. Waterbed sheets make it easier because the fitted sheet is attached to the top sheet. The corner pockets have extra fabric that sit under the waterbed corners and help to keep the sheets in place and not move. Another option is Stay-Tite sheets that are secured with poles through their loops.

The Importance of Thread Count

The higher the thread count, the softer and more comfortable the sheets. Nice sheets start at around a 200 thread count and high quality sheets can have more a thread count of more than 1,000.

Cotton is comfortable and less expensive than silk or satin sheets but silk and satin usually have higher thread counts.
