While some computers, such as Apple's Macintoshes, have built-in speakers, most computers do not. A big difference
between other speakers and computer speakers is that computer speakers need to be magnetically shielded or else they
can interfere with your computer's video display.
When you purchase a computer, speakers may be included, but they may not
produce a great sound. Upgrading to higher quality speakers can give you the option of creating a more enjoyable sound
system. For serious gamers, it's almost essential. When shopping for computer speakers, bring along one of your own
music CD's with which to test the sound.

Computer speakers may have one or more of the following features:

- Computer-optimized multi-band parametric equalization: Produces quality sound.
- Additional or built-in subwoofer and tweeter: For a more rounded, fuller sound.
