Children, on the other hand, are often injected with small amounts of testosterone in order to induce puberty.

Testosterone is used primarily in drugs to treat testosterone deficiency conditions, but it is also used in medications that treat a wide variety of ailments including osteoporosis, erectile dysfunction, growth disorders, infertility and anemia.
